Your Responsibilities
- Develop FPGA functions within our hardware and firmware platform – from concept through implementation and integration to testing
- Implement process and measurement workflows in an FPGA-based hardware environment
- Create and optimize mathematical signal processing algorithms for FPGA using HDL code generators
- Collaborate closely with physicists as well as hardware and firmware engineers
Your Profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a comparable qualification
- At least three years of FPGA development experience using VHDL; ideally experience with high-speed designs on Xilinx FPGAs using Vivado, optional with Simulink HDL Code Generator
- Practical experience in configuring and debugging logic components via interfaces such as I²C, SPI, or UART, optional experience with DMA, PCIe Endpoints, DDR and JESD
- Ideally experienced in the development of test and measurement systems, particularly in fiber optic sensing
- Strong problem‑solving skills paired with an independent, structured, and analytical working style
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in an interdisciplinary environment
- Good proficiency in both German and English, spoken and written
