Critical Infrastructure & Security Month

November has been designated as “National Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month” in the USA, as announced previously by the Fiber Optic Sensing Association (FOSA). AP Sensing monitors various types of critical infrastructure worldwide and believes the protection of these assets is of the utmost importance.

AP Sensing’s Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DFOS) technology utilizes a single fiber optic cable as a sensor to capture unusual events, such as potential fires or Third-Party Interference (TPI) activities. This DFOS system continuously monitors assets in real time over long distances, generating alarms when certain thresholds in the relevant zones are met or exceeded.

Our technology is used to monitor assets such as:

  • Power cables
  • Gas and liquid pipelines
  • Aircraft hangars and traffic tunnels
  • Railways and metro stations
  • Tanks containing explosive or flammable materials
  • Perimeters and other secure facilities

To learn more about our DFOS technology or how it applies to a specific type of asset, contact us at info@apsensing.com or visit our website www.apsensing.com.
